We can trust nature a little more

Food Forest Ketelbroek

Groesbeek, The Netherlands

Work

Joined Chef Emile van der Staak on an early morning visit to food forest Ketelbroek, documenting the landscape behind the botanical cuisine of Restaurant De Nieuwe Winkel.

A quiet morning shaped by season, texture, and the rhythm of the forest.

This series was photographed for Restaurant De Nieuwe Winkel in Nijmegen, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its botanical gastronomy and close relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Together with Chef Emile van der Staak, we visited food forest Ketelbroek in the early morning hours, where many of the ingredients behind the restaurant’s plant-based cuisine are gathered throughout the seasons.

Moving through the forest before service hours began in the city, the morning was shaped by changing light, quiet moments, and the slower pace of the landscape itself.

Photographed at Food Forest Ketelbroek, the series connects food culture, environment, and the places where ingredients naturally grow.

Late Summer

Mookerheide

Mook, The Netherlands

Work

Photographed on the Mookerheide during the transition from late summer into early fall.

An morning shaped by fading light, earthy tones, and the slower rhythm that arrives with the changing season.

And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.

This series was photographed on the Mookerheide during the final weeks of summer, as the landscape slowly shifted toward autumn.

The softer evening light, dry heather fields, and muted earth tones naturally blended with the atmosphere of the collection. Rather than directing heavily, the series followed the pace of the environment itself. Working with changing light, movement, and the quieter moments that appeared throughout the evening.

Photographed outdoors in the Nijmegen region, the series moves between fashion, landscape, and seasonal atmosphere, focusing on the connection between clothing, environment, and the feeling of transition between seasons.

True Friend Forever

Work

Friendship, interaction, and the energy of young people discovering new connections together.

A series photographed for the launch of the social impact project True Friend Forever.

This series was photographed for True Friend Forever, a social impact project developed together with communications agency Ubachs Full Contact.

The project invites students to explore themes around friendship, openness, and connection through shared activities and interaction. Rather than heavily directing the participants, the series follows the natural dynamics between the students themselves — moments of movement, conversation, curiosity, and connection unfolding throughout the day.

Photographed on location in the Netherlands, the series moves between education, youth culture, and documentary-style campaign photography.

Know what moves people

Work

Lasting movement starts with engaging people, and keeping them engaged.

That requires combining expertise. That’s why Invior and UBACHS/full contact are joining forces this summer in a new organization: INVIOR full contact.

To mark this moment, we created a series of images. In collaboration with fellow photographer Imke Vesters , featuring a wide range of people from across the Netherlands.
Because if you truly want to move people, you need to understand what moves them.

Timeless Craftsmanship

Work

Stepping into Black & Blue in Nijmegen is like stepping into a story—one woven from rugged denim, worn leather, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

As a lifestyle photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the essence of this space, where every detail speaks of tradition and authenticity.

From selvedge denim stacked high to well-worn Red Wing boots and classic Stetson hats, the store is a haven for those who value quality built to last. But it’s more than just the gear—it’s the brotherhood, the passion, and the lifestylethat make this place special.

The smell of leather, the sound of denim being folded, the shared stories between like-minded souls—this is where heritage meets modern-day grit.

Shooting here wasn’t just about photographing products; it was about capturing a culture. The warm, welcoming atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the respect for timeless style—it all came together in every frame. Black & Blue isn’t just a store; it’s an experience.

Black & Blue is more than just a store — it’s a destination for denim lovers, located in the heart of Nijmegen.

Here, you’ll find the most iconic denim labels, each with a rich heritage and an unwavering commitment to quality. From the rugged authenticity of Indigofera and Lee101 to the timeless craftsmanship of Pike Brothers, Rising Sun, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Eat Dust, and the legendary Red Wing Shoes—every brand in the collection tells a story of tradition, durability, and style. American vintage workwear is built with precision and a dedication to craftsmanship.

The clothing you find at Black & Blue is made to last a lifetime, designed not just to be worn but to be lived in. A perfect fit and the right feel are essential, ensuring that each piece becomes a part of your journey, aging beautifully over time.

To capture the essence of this philosophy, I had the opportunity to shoot a special lookbook for Black & Blue. Inspired by the raw, authentic atmosphere of the brand, I created a series that highlights the coolest pieces of the moment—garments that embody history, character, and a sense of adventure.

At Black & Blue, denim isn’t just fabric—it’s a way of life.
